Beauty Hotels Taipei – Hotel B6

On the 6th day of our Taipei 9D8N trip, we decided to desert our Airbnb apartment and checked into Hotel B6, which is located close to the heart of Ximending and a 10-minutes walk from the Ximen Station.

We had booked the airbnb place for the full 9 days of the trip, and although the host has been nothing but wonderful and helpful, we weren’t used to the stone-hard bed, stale air in the corridor/lift lobby and the loud footsteps and doors slamming of other neighbours’ units. What we liked about the place is that it’s very spacious and we left our luggage opened on the floor without obstructing us at all. On the 5th night, while being in the apartment the whole day (we were both down with bad stomach flu), we decided that we had to book a hotel in order to sleep well for the remaining few days.

We were desperate for a good comfy place, but of course we didn’t want to over-splurge so we used HotelsCombined to find the best price online from all the top travel sites (like Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com, etc) plus many other credible sites you’ve probably never hear of too (like Amoma, Hotelopia, Skoosh, etc). HotelsCombined is NOT a booking site, but a research tool to help you make the right accommodation decisions. There is no need to install many apps to compare deals one-by-one!

We were a little lost at first because we walked from the airbnb apartment (which is also in Ximending area) and we were given wrong directions by google map. It didn’t help when I was really weak from having runs for a few days but thankfully the hotel gave us complimentary upgrade!

Hotel B6 – 俞美精品飯店 is located at:

台北市萬華區武昌街二段106號
No.106, Sec. 2, Wuchang St., Wanhua Dist., Taipei City 108, Taiwan

The room isn’t as big as we had expected, but it was clean and simple. We almost teared with joy when we saw the king bed! Finally we can roll around on the bed without getting our ribcages bruised!

Check out the rooms here.

The modern white & black room made us at home instantly. The wash basin is situated outside the bathroom. The pro is that no one has to wait to brush teeth while the other is taking a shower. The con? There is no hand soap. If I have to wash my hands, I had to go into the bathroom to dispense some shower gel to use.

As I took photos of the room, I already knew that the toilet bowl would be my best friend for the last few days. The bathroom is small but very much functional and didn’t make me feel cramped out.

Mini pantry by the door. Items are all complimentary. We even received a welcome fruits platter (banana, apple and orange) when we first came in.

There isn’t any wardrobe in the room but this hanger rack was cleverly used in the narrow side of the wall.

Complimentary breakfast in the hotel basement. Choose from congee or pancakes set.

We enjoyed our stay/rest in Hotel B6. Thank you for the great service!

The only thing that we think could be improved is the water piping noise. Each time another unit uses the water tap or shower, there would be loud metal squeaky noise that can be quite disturbing especially late in the night or early in the morning. It probably wouldn’t be much of an issue if we weren’t in the room for almost the entire time since we weren’t feeling so well.

Wouldn’t mind staying here again for the convenience though!

(ps: Hotel is directly opposite cinema!)
